Are you new to the Tango Tangk concept?
Please note that Tango Tangks are NOT suitable
learning environments for beginners and improvers. Tangk workshops
assume dancers have achieved a defined standard of dance. Definition of minimum standards
Tango Tangks now start with registration for dancers we don't know. This will include an assessment of
your ability to dance the minimum dance skills. If you
have not reached the required minimum standard, we will ask you NOT to
change partners during the weekend.
Booking process
Booking normally opens a month before the event. Watch
this website for exact dates. More
To book please email Debbie with your completed booking form.
Booking Form
Please use the form to book, even if you have attended previous Tangks.
If you do not follow the system you risk forfeiting your place in the
queue. If your request is successful you will be given instructions on
how to pay.
Priority will be given to those booking with a partner, for all 3 days.
If you book as a individual leader or follower, your booking will be
held on a provisional and unconfirmed waiting-list until we can match
you with another leader/follower for the same day/s.
If you are travelling fro outside the area and want to make a weekend of it, a list of local B&Bs is available B&Bs.
Payment can be made online using a
credit/debit card, by cheque, or by BACS, but only after sending your
requirements to Debbie via email.
To make the workshops as effective
and enjoyable as possible we need an equal number of men and
women. Dancers booking without a partner are placed on a waiting
list until we have a partner to allocate to them.

The next Tangk is hosting workshops led by
Ines Moussavi and Constantin Ruger Programme
Tango Tangk Weekend Workshops
In a beautiful setting on the
edge of the New Forest, Hampshire, passers by will hear the sad cry of
the bandoneon as tango music is played from noon to midnight.
The Tango Tangk concept is a
weekend full of tango - a mix of private lessons, workshops, free
dancing, shared meals and an evening milonga with spontaneous live
music, as musicians who dance share their love of tango with us. As
well as dancing, there is plenty of time and space to sit and chat,
share tango thoughts, take a nap between workshops, prepare shared
meals and eat together. It is a wonderful celebration of dance and
friendship.
What does a Tango Tangk
weekend offer?
A weekend with 30 hours of tango
activitis
including private lessons, workshops with visiting maestros, shared
meal-times and social dancing every evening.
Previous Tangks have received
much acclaim from
dancers who came from all over the UK and from abroad! Read comments
The event offers tangueros a chance to immerse themselves physically,
mentally and socially in the dance. In order to get the most out of
workshops, dancers booking this weekend are expected to have reached a
minimum standard of balanced and symetrical individual and partnered
giros. For dancers with less experience we offer Tango Toolkit weekends
designed specifically for beginners to fast track their dance skills.
At a Tangk, you can experience a variety of tango workshops and private
lessons by visiting maestros. Take a look at pictures from previous Tango Tangks. Photos
If you want to lift the spirit,
focus the mind and free the body, don't miss our next Tango Tangk.
