Every first Sunday at Bramshaw is a TEA DANCE Sunday
Home-baked sunday high tea...

Yes - everything is home baked

1500 square feet of sprung maple wood dance floor...

If you have never been to a Tango UK tea dance you are in for a treat!

All the food is hand-made and home-baked by Debbie. With the number of guests hitting 100+ at our tea dances, planning, shopping for ingredients and baking starts well in advance of a tea dance.

Among guests favourites are:

  • Spinach and fetta quiche;
  • Raspberry and almond tray bake;
  • White chocolate cheesecake with blueberry topping;
  • Gluten-free chocolate brownies;
  • Gooseberry and elderflower sponge cake.

Acclaimed music....

Steve has recently expanded his music system to provide the best possible ambience and sound at Tango UK events.

His playlists include traditional 'tandas' - 3 or 4 pieces in the same genre and similar arrangement so that dancers can take to the floor at the start of a tanda knowing that there will a few tracks of the same kind of music to enjoy with a partner.

He will also play alternative music in between tandas and as tandas to refresh the musical palette and energise or calm the dance floor.

Steve and Debbie are passionate about tango and feel privileged and happy to share their passion for the music and the dance with others tangueros at events like their tea dances, workshop weekends and evening milongas.

They are especially honoured to have glowing feedback from visiting argentine tango dancers like Pablo Kliksberg who commented "it is the best milonga I have been to in the UK" and "you should open a milonga in Buenos Aires - everyone will come".

There are regular Tango Argentino events at Bramshaw Village Hall, SO43 7JE, in the New Forest
