Técnica session theme for Saturday 16 August:

"Once upon a time...."

Tell your story walking

A 90 minute pre-milonga workshop by Steve and Debbie Morrall
Bramshaw Village Hall, 6.00pm - 7.30pm (Doors open 5.45pm)

"Dance is communication, and so the great challenge is to speak clearly, beautifully, and with inevitability."

Martha Graham

This Tecnica Session is a journey into the compas, the beat of tango. Steve and Debbie teach the dance as a non-verbal language that can be easily transformed from a dull monotone monologue into a rich exchange of expression by both dancers using simple techniques.

As a life-long musician and eloquent teacher, Steve will help you to find the joy of dancing simply by letting the music 'stage-manage' your movement.

The workshop is open to dancers of all levels except absolute beginners. The session is followed by a Saturday night milonga from 8pm until midnight. Price including ticket to evening milonga is £15.

I have really enjoyed your Tecnica Sessions. I have danced all my life but always find something new in your class. I love your teaching style and your clear explanations about technique are invaluable.

More about Técnica Sessions:

An intensive class suitable for all levels of dancers wanting to improve the fundamental techniques on which the dance is structured.

Steve and Debbie Morrall teach tango as a creative collaboration. The class will deliver an equal amount of technique for the woman as the man to facilitate this.

Steve is a life long musician and will be linking dance and musical expression during the class while Debbie demonstrates opportunities for collaborative and contentious dialogue in the womans role.

If your dance has stagnated, if you you are frustrated that you don't seem to be progressing as a tango dancer, this class drills down to the core structure and helps you pinpoint the possible reasons for the stasis and offers solutions to help make your dance soar.

Price includes entrance to after class milonga - £15 per person. Sessions with visiting teachers £TBA.

As part of Tango UKs commitment to the local tango community, we have kept the entrance fee as low as possible to encourage attendance and help solve problems we have experienced on our tango journey.
